Truth For The World Bible College Logo
I helped design the curriculum for an online Bible college and then built the college and all the current courses on a Moodle LMS platform. I also currently serve as the LMS Administrator.
The college serves students from around the globe asynchronously 24/7.

My goal with this project was to make an engaging, interactive e-learning module that could show off a lot of the capabilities for e-learning, as well as my ability to use them.

This e-learning module was used as a branching scenario assessment tool. College students were given a scenario with questions asking them to use their knowledge of media law. Based on their answers, the scenario branched off into more events and more questions. Variables tracked their responses and displayed a calculation of good vs. bad answers to them at the end.

As an instructor, I used this e-learning module in some college courses, including Writing for Media and Cross-Platform Media Messages. The module introduces college students to writing in a style suitable for broadcasting and gives them a chance to practice their writing and compare it to acceptable work right within the module.

A 3-part learning solution was created to reinforce software training outside of scheduled class meetings. A demo video and 2 e-learning modules were created. The demo video demonstrated how to use Adobe Illustrator to create a draft of a PSA. The Training e-learning module was created to allow students to practice using Adobe Illustrator, and included guided narration and hints. The Assessment e-learning module tested their skills at using Adobe Illustrator in a more challenging environment as no hints or narration were provided.

(Basics of Broadcast Newswriting Instruction and Examples)

An e-learning module was created to instruct students on the components of a broadcast newswriting story and the different types of broadcast news stories. As students complete the e-learning module outside of class time, more class time can be devoted to practicing newswriting based on the instruction in the e-learning module.
